“A couple of years ago, I was overweight and unhappy with my appearance, and finally decided it was time to get in shape.  With my sister, Kristina’s help, I changed my diet, and started training with her twice a week.  At that time, Body Camp wasn’t around, but Kristina’s “friends and family” boot camp classes were! I’m not going to lie…they were tough – but they worked!!  After only a couple of weeks, the weight started to fly off, and I noticed a huge improvement in my energy level.  I literally was “addicted” to the positive results I saw, and couldn’t wait until the next Bootcamp.  Now, 2 years later, I am healthy, fit, and love the way I look!  Thanks!!

“I never thought that I would be sitting here writing about my weight loss! A friend of mine convinced me to try boot camp after our failed attempt at the gym. Monica and Mass“My fiancé and I were looking for something that would keep us motivated and get us in shape for our wedding. We had tried to go to the gym, but ended up wasting a lot of money paying every month and going once or twice. I found Bodycamp online, and thought we would try it since it was so close to home and the evening classes worked well with our schedules.

My fiancé plays hockey once a week, but had never been involved in a regular gym workout or personal training, so I was worried that he would be discouraged and not want to continue. Dan and Matt were so positive and reassuring, they pushed us to do our best, but reminded us to take breaks and stay within our personal limitations. We started off slow, but after a few weeks we noticed that we could do more of each exercise, and take less breaks. The classes never got easy, but they kept them interesting, and we really wanted to push ourselves more each week. We actually found that we looked forward to going to the classes, and went all the way up to the week of the wedding!

I have worked with personal trainers in the past, and found that it was a lot of negative reinforcement and punishment for not doing enough. Working with Dan and Matt was very different, as although the workouts are really difficult, they make them really fun, and give really positive feedback that makes you want to keep going, and get better.

Since we started Bodycamp, we have lost some weight (about 20 lbs between the two of us), but noticed more in the way our clothes fit and how much more energy we’ve had! I have gone down 2 sizes, and we received so many compliments about how great we looked at our wedding. My (now) husband has found that the weekly hockey games are a lot easier too!

Now after the wedding, we have decided to continue with Bodycamp to maintain what we did this summer. We can’t wait to see what the next session has in store!

“Since having children I’ve been on an uphill battle with following a healthy lifestyle and getting myself back to (or even better than) pre- baby weight.  I tried the gym on my own but couldn’t stay motivated for long.  It gets boring and bland, I really did need someone to push and encourage me to reach my goals.  I found what I needed with Burlington Body Camp.  After looking at many options, their personal stories online as well as their availability was why I initially joined.

The 8pm class has been ideal for me. I have never had a work out like the ones Dan and Matt provide every week, always something different and always a challenge.  You can push yourself as much or as little as you want and they are always encouraging you to do your best (within your personal boundaries).  When I started with them a year ago I could barely do a 30 second plank.  My new personal best…3 minutes and 45 seconds!!!!  I am down 4 pants sizes and going!! Everyone is noticing and it feels amazing!!  These guys are always ready to answer any questions you may have, help out with any issues and always provide a positive environment; this is why I keep coming back session after session.  I love the outdoor class as it adds a lot of variety to my workouts, which really does help to keep me motivated and coming back for more.  I recommend their class to everyone I talk to about my healthy journey and will continue to do so.”
